Min. Egypt receives 1.35M tourists this April
According to Egypt's Minister of Tourism Ahmed Issa, 1.35 million tourists visited Egypt in April, making it the country's busiest month ever.
15 million tourists are expected to visit Egypt this year, followed by 18 to 20 million in 2024 and 30 million tourists each year in 2028. This is consistent with Egypt's national policy, which calls for a 25–30% annual increase in the tourism sector.
Due to this, there were approximately 4.5 million more tourists arriving during the first quarter of 2023. Egypt's hotel capacity must increase from 230,000 to 500,000 rooms in five years, according to the tourism minister.
